We provide simulator training on both fixed base and full flight simulators. All simulators used are fully certified which means the systems and flight model match manufacturer specifications and hours can be logged as simulator time.
Aircraft types – we can offer training on the following types:
- Boeing B737 (classic / NG) *
- Boeing B747-400
- Boeing B767
- Boeing B787
- Airbus A320 (CEO/NEO)*
- Embrear E170/E175
- Embrear E190/E195
- Fokker 50/70/100
- Dornier 328JET
(* FTD-2 (fixed base) simulators available)
Fixed base and full flight simulation devices
Using fixed base simulators can significantly reduce training costs and we recommend seriously considering this option. The simulators used are FTD-2 standard, which is basically a full flight simulator without motion.
We use simulators in several locations in the Netherlands, based on availability. The location will be agreed with you when confirming a booking.
Which simulator should I choose?
We recommend you think about what you wish to train: most requested training can be completed on a fixed base simulator. Of the ICAO competency list, generally speaking Flight Path Management – Manual can in some scenarios benefit from full flight simulation.
Navigation and IFR maneuvering can also be trained to a high standard on a fixed base training device, even in manual flight. The flight model is equal to that of a full flight simulator so aircraft behaviour is representative.
We recommend a full flight simulator if there is a wish to specifically train:
- Adverse weather in manual flight (such as crosswind landings, turbulence, windshear),
- Manual landing practice (short / narrow runway, flare technique),
- UPRT at low level (flight path recovery in flare / go-around),
- Single engine operations in some specific cases.
